Overview

Laurels Education and Training (LET) delivers a range of programs and services.

LET is a not-for-profit, community managed:

  • Registered Training Organisation (RTO 5064). LET is supported by State and Commonwealth Governments, delivering accredited qualifications that are recognised Australia wide.

  • Learn Local provider. LET is an award winning Learn Local Organisation, supported by The Adult Community and Further Education (ACFE) Board, providing training programs to encourage all adults to re-engage in the learning process as a pathway to further education and training.

  • Neighbourhood House. LET is supported by The Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH), providing social, educational and recreational activities for local members of the community in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Our commitment to child safety

Laurels Education and Training is committed to safety and wellbeing of all children and young people. This will be the primary focus of our care and decision making.

Laurels Education and Training has zero tolerance for child abuse.

LET is committed to providing a child safe environment where children and young people are safe and feel safe and their voices are heard about decisions that affect their lives. Particular attention will be paid to the cultural safety of Aboriginal children and children from culturally and/or diverse backgrounds as well as the safety of children with a disability.

Every person involved in LET has a responsibility to understand the important and specific role they play individually and collectively to ensure that the wellbeing and safety of all children and young people is at the forefront of all they do and every decision they make.

The voluntary Board which oversees the administration of the College is elected annually at a public meeting in March.
