This course was developed for people who work or are
seeking work as an integration aide assisting teachers in the pre-school,
primary and secondary sectors of education. Their role is to assist students
with disabilities and impairments to be part of an inclusive classroom
program. Students who successfully complete the course will receive an
accredited certificate.
Module 1: Frameworks for Integration Support
In this module participants develop a practical understanding
of: Current Victorian Department of Education policies, guidelines and
programs for students with disabilities and impairments, based on inclusiveness.
The Aide's role in supporting the student with a disability or impairment.
A practical course for integration aides teach and
other personnel interested in assisting and/or in-class-support for
reading writing spelling and numeracy.
