LIMESTONE CARVING
Create your own original sculpture by learning the art of limestone carving. The course covers design, technique and texture finish. Coralline limestone from Mount Gambier is used. This is a natural semi-soft stone with remnants of shell and marine fossils, making it an excellent medium for those new to sculpting. Tools are provided. Cost of blocks $7.50 to $35.00.

ANTIQUE FURNITURE RESTORATION
Under the guidance of a professional craftsman, learn how to do minor repairs and restore one or more items of wooden furniture. Topics include: methods of repairing, removing old finishes, preparation and application of new finishes; including French Polishing. The course is suitable for absolute beginners as well as more experienced furniture restorers. Items to be restored should be small and easily transportable. Material cost of $25 to be paid to the tutor on the first day. (Please pick up information sheet on enrolment). Limited Places available.
